Surveys: without them a design is not reliable
Design requires complete information about the site, so engineering surveys are carried out:
- engineering and geodetic;
- engineering and geological;
- hydrometeorological;
- environmental;
- geotechnical.
Only a comprehensive study of the site makes it possible to build a facility that operates for decades without failures or emergencies.
Attention Saving on geology is a common cause of cost overruns during construction: unaccounted-for groundwater or subsiding soils lead to foundations being redone after work has already started.
Technical solutions and codes
We select the optimal technical, architectural and design solutions taking into account the features of the facility, the site and the survey results. All conclusions are backed by engineering calculations and analysis.
Design is carried out in accordance with the regulatory legal acts, technical regulations, standards, codes of practice (SN RK, SP RK) and sanitary standards in force in Kazakhstan. In some cases industrial structures require an expert review and additional studies — especially when new, recently introduced materials are used.
Approvals Our specialists handle interaction with state supervisory authorities and local executive bodies, including passing the state expert review.
What we need from the client to get started
- a description of the production technology: processes, equipment, capacity, number of employees;
- title documents for the land plot;
- technical conditions for connection to utility networks — or authorisation for us to obtain them;
- results of previously performed surveys, if any;
- timeline requirements and an indicative budget.
If the initial data is insufficient, we will help collect it: we will prepare the survey assignment, request technical conditions and draw up the design brief together with the client's process engineers.
