A rotational workers' camp for 400 people housing the staff of an industrial facility in Atyrau Region. The modular camp with dormitories, a canteen, a laundry, a first-aid station and utility networks was built by us on a turnkey basis in less than a year.
The client's objective
The client needed to accommodate staff quickly next to an industrial facility in conditions where there is no urban infrastructure: its own water, wastewater treatment, power supply and security. The deadline was critical — the launch of the main production depended on it.
Solutions
- modular technology: units were manufactured in parallel with site preparation — the main schedule reserve;
- residential modules, a 200-seat canteen, a laundry and a first-aid station;
- local wastewater treatment plants and water treatment — the camp is self-sufficient in water;
- a transformer substation and a backup diesel generator;
- fencing and a security checkpoint.
Regional conditions Atyrau Region means summer heat, strong winds and saline soils. For modular buildings this calls for special attention to foundations, fixing of units and protection of utility networks.
How the work went
- Parallel start Simultaneously: site and foundation preparation on location, manufacturing of modules at the factory.
- Utilities Laying of water supply, sewerage and power supply, installation of the substation.
- Camp assembly Delivery and installation of modules, connection to utilities.
- Life-support systems Treatment plants, water treatment, backup generator, checkpoint and fencing.
- Handover Commissioning and putting the camp into operation in July 2022.
