A kindergarten for 320 children for the new residential district of Nura in Astana. The two-storey building for 16 groups with a swimming pool, music and sports halls, a medical unit and a full-cycle kitchen is being built by us on a turnkey basis under a government contract.
Objective
The new district needs a kindergarten that meets current sanitary standards: group units with separate bedrooms, a swimming pool, activity halls, a medical unit and its own kitchen. For a social facility, safety, accessibility and economical operation in the Astana climate are important.
Solutions
- a cast-in-place frame building with aerated concrete infill and an insulated facade;
- ventilation with heat recovery — fresh air without high heating costs in winter;
- heating and water treatment for the swimming pool;
- barrier-free environment: ramps, a lift, accessible toilets for people with limited mobility;
- outdoor play areas with shade canopies and safe surfacing.
Heat recovery In Astana in winter, ventilation without heat recovery is one of the largest sources of heat loss in a building. A heat recovery unit returns part of the heat from the exhaust air to the supply air and reduces heating costs.
